From HK International Airport:
Take bus route No. A41 to Shatin Central Bus Terminal, then take MTR East Rail to University station.

From Lo Wu Control Point/ Lok Ma Chau Control Point:
Take MTR East Rail to University station.

From Shenzhen Bay Port/ Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Hong Kong Port/ Hong Kong West Kowloon Station:
Public Transport Services to University station.

From Hong Kong – Macau Ferry Terminal:
Take MTR Tsuen Wan Line to Mongkok station, then change to Kwun Tong Line to Kowloon Tong station, and transit to East Rail to University station.

When you arrive CUHK, you may download the CUHK Mobile App where you can check the campus map, shuttle bus schedule, contact numbers of departments/ units, almanac, classroom information, etc.

All students should complete online student registration upon admission.

A series of orientation programmes are held every year to help newly admitted students know more about CUHK, to obtain information on their study plan and to make new friends with other freshmen & seniors. On top of these, the orientation activities especially organised for mainland undergraduates, international undergraduates and postgraduate students enable you make better cross cultural adjustment, taste the delicious local food and explore the beauty of Hong Kong.

HKID Card
You must apply for a HKID Card within 30 days of arrival. You should carry it with you at all times as proof of identity. Failure to show it upon request by the police can lead to arrest and prosecution.

CU Link
This all-in-one card is a convenient digital device that you carry on and off the campus. It could be used to access different services and facilities at various locations, for example, the University libraries, computer laboratories, sports centres and hostels.

Personalised Octopus Card with ‘Student Status’
Full-time students aged 25 or below can enjoy concessionary MTR fares by using a valid Personalised Octopus Card with ‘Student Status’ under the MTR Student Travel Scheme. For application guidelines, please click here.

Opening Bank Account
Having a local bank account is essential for your financial management. You may get one from branches of the two on-campus banks, Hang Seng Bank (1/F of John Fulton Centre) and Bank of East Asia (1/F of Pommerenke Student Centre) or any other licensed banks.

Students under 18 must be accompanied in person by their parent(s) or legal guardian to open a bank account. Please note that the University is not able to act as your guardian.

Payment of Tuition Fee and Other Fees
The Donations and Projects Management Unit, Finance Office (‘DPU’) will issue fee notes and notify students through email. Students have to login ‘CUSIS’ to enquire the details of the fee notes. The fees will be billed in September and January for most students. You are reminded to settle the outstanding amount of your student account before the payment due date. A fine of HK$200 will be levied for late payment. Undergraduate students who wish to defer payment due to financial difficulties must contact their College’s office concerned before the payment due date.
