Chinese Culture Immersion Programme

The Chinese Culture Immersion Programme offers students immersive and hands-on experiences to explore and appreciate the richness of traditional Chinese culture. This initiative is divided into two parts: do-it-yourself (DIY) experiential activities and local tours. By participating in the DIY workshops, students will have the chance to directly engage with and create traditional Chinese crafts and delicacies, fostering a deeper appreciation for the skills and techniques involved. The local tours, on the other hand, will allow students to explore Hong Kong, gaining insights into the historical and cultural significance of those places. Through these engaging activities, participants will have the opportunity to gain a multifaceted understanding of Chinese culture from various perspectives and in different formats.

Samples of activities planned for 2024/25 include:
• DIY Miniature Food Workshop
• Guided Tour and Recycled Denim Coaster Workshop at The Mills
• Hong Kong Styled Milk Tea DIY Workshop
• Visit to Tsz Shan Monastery
• Puppet Shadow (皮影戲) Performance
