| Details | Mahjong is a popular table game in Hong Kong, especially on festive occasions such as weddings and Lunar New Year gatherings. Mahjong tiles are carved with culture-related patterns that include Chinese characters, dots, bamboo sticks, flowers, etc. In this workshop, participants will get to know the interesting history of hand-carved mahjong, which has become a dying art in the era of mass production, as well as carve their own tile under the guidance of an experienced local artisan mahjong tile carver. |
