| Details | “The things which men greatly desire are comprehended in food and drink and sexual pleasure.” – The Book of Rites Ang Lee named this heart-warming comedy-drama “Eat Drink Man Woman” by referring to the famous quote from the Confucian classic. Every Sunday, retired master chef Chu prepares elaborate dinner for his three daughters. As they deal with life events and disappointments, the stability of these meals gives them all strength. The movie explores themes of traditional Chinese values of love, life, and family. The extensive scenes of cooking also demonstrate the importance of food in Chinese culture.
