Details | Sandpainting, an art using hands instead of brushes, allows people to explore and express inner emotions. It freezes moments in the flow and turns moments into eternity. Snow was a nurse who had worked in the ward and the operating room; birth, aging, sickness, and death were so close to her. Her path came across sandpainting by chance, and she decided to fully devote herself to it. Now she has become a well-known local sandpainting artist. In the talk, she will share her story and show you the power of sandpainting.
(Profile: Ms. Snow CHUNG was a full-time nurse, and she later devoted herself to sandpainting. So far, she has been invited by more than 200 public organisations and private companies for collaboration, and she is committed to promoting the artistic power of sandpainting in the education and social welfare sectors. In 2021, she created a sandpainting story of “Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage” for the museums of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. In 2022, she was selected as one of the local designers of the “Hong Kong Design Force” by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.) |
