The Sports Fiesta promises to be an exhilarating and joyful sports carnival. This event will provide an excellent platform for students to showcase skills and demonstrate sportsmanship while embracing cultural diversity. It features a variety of engaging activities, including 3-on-3 basketball, badminton, and the exciting Devastation Ball (建破球). All the games will be mixed.

Eligibility

All CUHK students are eligible. Please form team to apply. Individual applications will NOT be accepted.

For non-local students, please indicate your affiliated association. The non-local associations list can be found here. For students who are not affiliated with any of the above associations, please form a team on your own and indicate your team name in the application form.

Awards and Recognition

• The winning teams of each game will be awarded.
• Players of any of the three competition items: Rewarded with 4 PE participation marks (for students taking PE courses)
• All participants: Participation recorded in the Student Development Portfolio (SDP)

Brief Introduction to Devastation Ball (建破球)*

1. 6 players in each team
2. Each player will take up a designated role in the game.
3. Depending on their designated role, different players may help build a wall, devastate the opponent’s wall, or protect their own team’s wall.
4. Each game lasts 5 The team that first builds the wall with all the given bricks in the required size or builds the most part of the wall will win.

*Remark: The detailed rules, as well as the regulations of badminton and 3-on-3 basketball, will be sent to the applicants who would like to participate in the respective items.
