Join the CUHK International Connection Programme as a Mentee!

The International Connection Programme (ICP) is a cross-cultural peer mentorship programme organized by the Office of Student Affairs, which offers a unique opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to connect and enhance cultural understanding. We warmly invite you to join us as a mentee, where you will have the chance to:

• Build intercultural mentoring networks by connecting with senior students
• Facilitate your transition and adjustment to the university life
• Engage in enriching cross-cultural interactions and contribute to a more culturally inclusive and diverse campus

Eligibility

Year 1 non-local undergraduate students who will be studying at CUHK in both terms of 2026-27.

Matching 

In each group, two mentors will be matched up with approximately four mentees.

Content

1. Training Day Camp 

All participants will be required to attend the training day camp. Free of charge. 

Date: 4 October 2026 (Sunday)

Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm (Round-trip transportation will be arranged)

Location: Tai Po

Content: Ice-breaking, team building, cross-cultural communication skills, global leadership development

2. Bonding and cultural activities initiated by your group

3. Engaging cultural events organized by the Office of Student Affairs

4. Visit to CUHK (Shenzhen)

5. Leadership and Cultural tour

Certification and Prize

• Student Development Portfolio (SDP) record update
• Certificate of Appreciation (Requirement: attendance in the training day camp, one LCES-endorsed activity, completion of self-initiated cultural activity and submission of report)
• (For selected teams) Leadership and cultural tour in 2027
