| Details | In the 1960s and 1970s, there was a high demand for galvanized iron products in Hong Kong. The industry started to decline as a result of the popularization of plastic and stainless steel products. In this workshop, participants will learn more about the history and development of galvanized iron product making, and make their own galvanized iron letter box under the guidance of professional artisan. About ‘Urban Touch’ ‘Urban Touch’ is a cultural programme appreciating and conveying the stories, culture and heritage of Hong Kong. It focuses on different themes in relation to local culture and history, including craftsmanship, food culture, language and stories. |
