Details | The Wayuu are the indigenous people who inhabit the Venezuela-Colombia border. They are known throughout the world for their beautiful hand-crafted bags, hats, and shoes. In this workshop, participants will learn about the Wayuu way of life and have the opportunity to design and decorate their own Sombrero Wayuu, a straw hat decorated with striking coloured yarn and pompons. (This activity is organized by the i-Ambassadors of the Office of Student Affairs with support from the Internationalization Activity Fund.) |
