The Southeast Asia region, composed of more than 10 countries, is a treasure of diverse cultures. To experience cultural vibrancy of the region while staying on campus, you just cannot miss the Southeast Asia Festival with a wide spectrum of activities organized by the Office of Student Affairs.

Batik (蠟染) is an ancient fabric wax-resist dyeing tradition of Indonesia, which has been added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. Grab this opportunity to try your hand at making your own unique batik piece while unleashing your creativity.

Jennifer is one of the iconic Filipino musicians in Hong Kong. In this sharing, she is going to talk about how she achieved her career success and the history of the cultural tide between Filipino musicians and Hong Kong.

In this event, Nicole will share how her Southeast Asian background helped her build her successful career in Hong Kong. As an outlander, Nicole will also talk about her different perspectives compared with local people on various aspects, such as parenting.

Initiated by the student groups at CUHK with Southeast Asian backgrounds, a series of Party Nights will be hosted to promote the diverse and unique cultures of the Southeast Asian countries.
