Indigenous Musical Culture and Mini Music Jam
7 Feb 2023 (Tue)  6:30pm-8:00pm

There is so much more diversity in music than what most of us grow up listening to. Sadly, indigenous peoples and their cultures are slowly disappearing in today’s globalised world, and most of their musical traditions and instruments will equally fade away. But thanks to our multi-musical guest speaker and performer in this session, we will have a chance to glimpse and even try out various instruments and sounds from different indigenous cultures.

There are divided opinions on whether “Emily in Paris” an American interpretation or stereotype of the French, who are often associated with good taste. In this session, we are going to investigate find out how French people market themselves in art, fine food, high fashion, pop culture and lifestyle; and how these have been spread to the rest of the world. We will also look into how they are influenced by Asian culture.
