Lagom: The Swedish Philosophy of Life
4 Oct 2021 (Mon) | 6:30pm-8:00pm
@i-LOUNGE, 3/F Yasumoto International Academic Park

Lagom (pronounced [ˈlɑ̂ːɡɔm]) is a Swede’s way of describing the perfect balance – not too much and not too little. It’s a way of life and it’s one of the reasons many of us associate relaxation, comfort and calmness with that Nordic country so many of us admire. This evening we will relax and have a chat with our Swedish friend and learn more about the Scandinavian way of life!

(Live on ZOOM*) Children in War Zones
18 Oct 2021 (Mon) | 6:30pm-8:00pm (HKT)

The idea of war seems so far away from most people’s minds. In this online workshop, Nicole Tung, a Hong Kong born, US educated award-winning photojournalist, will bring us closer to the picture through her lens. Currently based in Turkey, Nicole will talk about how children are impacted by being either witnesses or participants in war and how that legacy can also profoundly change a society. She will also share the approaches she has when it comes to storytelling that involves children.
