Details | Ms. Winsome Lee is a CUHK Alumna and a forensic anthropologist, who combines professional knowledge and philosophical thinking in exploring the truth behind death. In this session, she will share the meaning of humanity through the stories of remains. (Profile: Ms. Winsome Lee is a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Departmental Honours) from the University of Oregon and a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After finishing her internship at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Department, she went on to complete her Master’s degree in Forensic Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Leicester. During her studies, she worked as a visiting forensic anthropologist for the National Police of Timor-Leste, where she was responsible for examining unidentified skeletal remains. Winsome has just embarked on her Ph.D. journey this fall. She is a biological anthropologist by training. Winsome has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary work. Besides forensic knowledge, a thorough understanding of cultural anthropology and archaeology is essential to finding out the truth behind every single remain.
