Details | Aiming to offer cultural and artistic experiences for the CUHK community, the Arts Festival organised by the Office of Student Affairs presents an exciting array of activities, with a colourful mix of an arts fair, hands-on workshops, guided tours, as well as mini exhibitions.
- Indonesian Wayang Workshop

Wayang is a traditional form of puppetry originating from the island of Java of Indonesia. The Wayang traditions include singing, music, drama, literature, carving, and symbolic arts. In this workshop hosted by the Indonesian Student Association of CUHK (PEMICU), participants will get hands-on experience of creating their own Wayang and explore the unique arts and culture of Indonesia.
- Chinese Papercutting Workshop

Guided by Ms. Judith Lui Wai Chu, a papercutting master as well as a CUHK alumna, the participants of this workshop will be able to peek into this ancient folk art form from a cultural perspective and see how scissors and paper work wonders. Other than learning the basic techniques of papercutting, they can also try their hands at bringing animals like butterflies, goldfish to life on paper!

Sparkle and Charm: Canton Enamels of the Qing Dynasty

This exhibition showcases more than 170 sets of Canton enamels along with complementary porcelain and paintings, providing the public with more insights into this artistic craft by illustrating the distinctive tradition and history of enamelware, and advanced enameling techniques such as the use of colours and ways of painting.
The world-class painted enamelware and innovative contemporary enamel artworks on display are not to be missed.

Majestic Vistas: Selected Landscape Paintings from the Collection of the Art Museum, CUHK

The exhibition features a selection of over 40 Chinese landscape paintings, dated from the Yuan dynasty to the contemporary period, showcasing various distinctive styles and techniques. Visitors can embrace the beauty of nature and arts when viewing the majestic vistas offered by the assorted landscape paintings. Not only does the exhibition showcase large-scale works; it also provides insights into Chinese landscape paintings from various perspectives.
